Margie E Scye, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on July 15, 2024, at the age of 81 years old. Margie was born in Cairo, MO, on December 15, 1942, and most recently resided in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Margie had a zest for life and enjoyed embracing her favorite hobbies. She was known for her skillful crocheting and her love for the thrill of the casino. Margie's favorite foods included BBQ, tapioca pudding, snow cones, Long John Silver's, and ice cream.
An interesting fact about Margie was that she worked as an in-home child care provider for many years in San Diego, California. In addition, she was an avid bowler, showcasing her competitive spirit and talent. Margie loved nothing more than sitting down and telling stories. Her animated personality and opinions drew people in, and she always had a captive audience. Her favorite place in the world was at the casino, where she would spend hours surrounded by the excitement and hustle of the games.
Margie wasn't at the casino, she enjoyed watching TV shows like Law & Order and CSI. Margie found interest in the intricacies of crime-solving and legal dramas, always engrossed in the mystery and suspense. Margie was preceded in death by her siblings, Gary Sands and Lavas Sands. She is survived by her brother, Herbert Sands. Margie leaves behind her children: Wayne England, Marie Moore, and Tina Lundberg. She was also a cherished grandmother to Marcus Scye, Marnise Cuellar, Sage Brown, Tribecca Moore, as well as Wayne's children. Margie's legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Lilianna, Phoenix, and Wayne's grandchildren. Margie E Scye will be remembered for her vivacious spirit, her love for storytelling, and her passion for the casino. She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday July 20th, 11:00-12:00 at OK Cremation and Funeral Home, 2415 N Walnut Ave Oklahoma City, where family and friends will come together to celebrate Margie's life and bid her farewell.
