Marlene Lee Slagel

April 19, 1957 — July 17, 2024

Bethany

Marlene Lee Slagel “Nana”, 67, passed away peacefully on July 17th 2024 in Bethany Oklahoma at her home surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Miami Arizona alongside her twin sister on April 19th 1957.

She was the daughter of Allen and Margaret Slagel. After spending a short period of time in Oregon they moved to Illinois, and from there they moved to Texas before Marlene moved to Oklahoma to settle down for the remainder of her beautiful life. Marlene worked in restaurant management for 35 years, she enjoyed reading, coloring and spending time with her loved ones and you can't forget her puppy Nami.

Marlene is survived by her twin sister Darlene Slagel, and her other siblings Kathy O’neil, Charlotte Slagel, Larry and Jerry Slagel. Her adopted daughter Marnee Slagel and her three grandchildren, Legend, Serenity, and River. Also many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews, along with a bunch of other family and friends.

Marlene is remembered as the light of everyone's life, if you were around Marlene you were bound to laugh until your cheeks hurt. She looked forward to birthdays so she could smash cake in someone's face so you’d have to watch your back! I am sure everyone has memories of Nana and her braums, she loved her ice cream. There was always a joy surrounding Marlene, and she loved everyone, if you needed it she would give you the shirt off her back. That is how our Marlene will be remembered and she will forever live on through all of us.
