Michael George "Lumpy" Botich

Michael “Lumpy” Botich, aged 63 of Oklahoma City, passed away of natural causes on May 4, 2020 in his home surrounded by loved ones.

He was born May 1, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois to John and Gladys Botich.  After high school he enlisted in the Navy serving as an electrician and eventually a Petty Officer First Class IC1.  During his service he traveled the world extensively with his favorite places being Scotland and Cuba. He retired to Oklahoma City and helped out at the Oklahoma Foundation for the Disabled before coming ill.

He was preceded in death by his mother Gladys Botich and father John Botich.  He is survived by his daughter Alicia Barrett, of Florida, and his five grandchildren Kelsey, Joseph, Jonathan, Kailey and Jacob. He is also survived by his sister Pauline Beers, brother-in-law Phillip Beers of Clarkdale, Arizona and brother Thomas Botich of Oklahoma City.  He is also survived by his nephews Matthew Beers of Oklahoma City, Christopher Beers of Monee, Illinois, his favorite niece Amy Beers of Shawnee, Oklahoma and nephew Michael “Spuddy” Beers of Cottonwood, Arizona.

Mike would like donations in lieu of flowers to go to his brother, Thomas Botich, to whom he was sole caretaker.  A GoFundMe page has been set up in his honor.

No services will be held.

We would like to thank the compassionate care provided by Encompass Health Hospice and in particular Brandy and Debbie who were wonderful throughout this trying time.
