Michael S. Colbert McCoy was born on July 19, 1959 in Oklahoma City, OK to Loraine E. Colbert & Richard V. McCoy.

He is preceded in death by his son Michael Jr., father, and sister Sharron McCoy.

Michael graduated from John Marshall Highschool in 1977. He later joined the Army National Guard, where he completed basic training, deployment, and weekend duties. He received an honorable discharge. Michael was a hard worker and had various jobs around Oklahoma City. He was employed with Cinemark Tinseltown Movie Theater, Presbyterian Hospital, Cowboy Hall of Fame, Colbert & Barnes Construction, and Jamil's Steak House. Michael enjoyed fishing, visiting the casinos, spending time with neighborhood friends & family watching sports and drinking refreshments.

From the union of Michael & Pamela Joyner (deceased) two sons were born Michael Jr. and Marcus. He married LaTonya Jones in December of 1984 and one son was born, Miquel.

He is survived by his sons Marcus & Miquel, grandchildren Raven, Michael III, Amiyah, & Myriah, brothers L. Bernard Colbert, Byron "Ra Tem" (Maatet) Colbert, Richard J. McCoy, and Vance K. (Charlesetta) McCoy, and a host of nieces & nephews Eboni Colbert of California, Sharon McCoy, Vannice McCoy, Rosyland McCoy, Laquetta McCoy, Sean McCoy, and Vance Jr. McCoy.
