He went to Grant H.S. Then he joined the Army during the Vietnam War. He was with the 82nd Airborne. A few years he came home and he drove a Taxi for Yellow Cab Co. for 40 years. Meanwhile he attended South Oklahoma Community College and it was there he met and married Kathleen Bounds. He adopted her daughter, Sarah Davis. He also became dad to her son Beau Bounds. They became a family for almost 40 years.
Along with his wife, daughter, and son, Mike leaves behind several grandkids (Tyler Hutton, Mikayla Hutton, Madelyn Blanchard, Kathy Bounds, Skye Bounds, Marci Bounds, and Sean Bounds). Also 3 greatgrandkids (Malachai, Isabell, and Khalil). Mike and Kathleen had a son named Sean Michael but he preceded them in death.
