Michael Wayne Farrier

Michael Wayne Farrier, 78, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2026, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born on January 23, 1948, in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Michael spent his life devoted to Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. His faith remained an important part of his life, and his family finds comfort in knowing that he is now at peace in heaven and reunited with the loved ones who went before him.

Michael was also a devoted Oklahoma Sooners football fan. On game days, it was understood that the Sooners had his full attention—and he was always ready to offer a little advice from the sidelines. His love for the team brought him great enjoyment and many memorable moments.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Emma Jean Chapman Farrier; his father, Arthur William Farrier Sr.; and his brother, Arthur William Farrier Jr.

He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Y. Krieg; his son, Michael W. Farrier II, and daughter-in-law, Dawn M. Farrier; his nephew, Jeff McCarroll; six grandchildren, Cory Holborn, Peyton Morris, Randall Krieg, Jordyn Farrier, Jacob Krieg, and Jonathan Farrier; and four great-grandchildren.

Michael’s life and memory will be cherished by his family and all who knew him. Although his passing brings great sadness, his faith and the legacy he leaves behind will live on through his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the many lives he touched.

He will be laid to rest at Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, North Carolina.
