Oscar Eugene Patton

God in His infinite wisdom and mercy has chosen this time to take out of this world our beloved father, brother, uncle and cousin Oscar Patton (82) of Spencer, Oklahoma. Affectionally known to many as Zekie, quietly and peacefully he slipped into the Lord’s embrace on October 21, 2020.

The Word of God declares that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, therefore we rejoice in him who is able two daughters, Regina Patton (Kerry) and Dawn Patton; one son, Fred Smiley Jr.; his brother, Stephen Hamlin; three sisters, Dr. Lola King (Johnny), Delores Ford, and Evelyn Banks (Calvin); one grandson, Tristen Patton and a host of relatives and many close friends.

Oscar was preceded in death by his father and mother, Roy Patton and Annie Mae (Whitfield) Patton; and two sisters, Loretta Hamlin-Jones and Hattie Bell Hamlin-Humphrey.

A viewing/visitation will be held on Friday, November 6, 2020 from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM at OK Cremation & Funeral Home Chapel, 2415 N. Walnut Ave., Oklahoma City.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at Community Abundant Life Church, 1701 NW 7th St., Oklahoma City, OK. Interment will follow with military honors at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Spencer.
