Pamela Jane Baird died peacefully in her home on June 9th, 2025. Pam was born on March 17th, 1947, and was a proud Texan. She was raised in a loving home with parents Ray and Bonnie and four siblings, Jim, Ken, Tim, and Cindi. Pam moved to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, in the early 1980s and owned a children’s clothing store, Pinafores & More. Pam and her mother, Bonnie, later opened and operated an in-home daycare, which they continued for many years. Pam truly loved her job and the children they watched. Many of the children’s families became dear friends to Pam and Bonnie. Pam retired from childcare to care for her mother in their home until her passing in late November 2008. Pam sold her home in 2017, and she and her sister Cindi moved to Edmond, Oklahoma, to be closer to family. Pam moved in with her niece, Elizabeth, and her family in June of 2022 after the unexpected passing of her sister. Pam was an avid football fan and loved her Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorn teams. She was always ready to give a lighthearted tease to any OU fan and say, “Hook ‘em Horns.” She often reminisced and spoke fondly of her family in Texas, from Austin to Abilene. She cherished these memories with aunts, uncles, and many cousins. She loved attending her great nephew’s sporting events and spending time with family when they all came to town for holidays and birthdays. Pam is preceded in death by her parents, John “Ray” Baird and Bonnie Reed Baird, brother James “Jim” Baird, and sister Cynthia “Cindi” Baird Yeldell. Pam leaves behind brothers Timothy “Tim” Baird, his wife Janet, and Kenneth “Ken” Baird and his wife Linda. Also nephews and nieces, Kenneth Baird and wife Tiffany, Elizabeth Yeldell Jweid, husband Derek and their two children Ethan and Owen, Nola Baird Jones and children Drake and Griffin, and Stephanie Baird Gonzales, husband Robert, and children Jenny and Cesar.Pam lived a life caring for others. She was selfless and humble and constantly prayed for her family. She had a heart for giving and sacrificed much. In her last days, she was surrounded by family and given the same love and care she showed to so many. Pam held a strong faith and personal relationship with Christ. Although those left on earth miss her, we rejoice in her homecoming. Go rest high, Pam. Your work on earth is done.
