Patricia J. Garland, 69, of Mustang, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2025. She was born on April 27, 1956, in Arkansas.
Patricia lived a life defined by kindness, service, and love. She spent her career as a caregiver, but caring for others was more than her work—it was her calling. She had a gift for making people feel seen, heard, and loved.
Her greatest joy was her family. In the early 1980s, she moved her children to Oklahoma, building a life centered around love and hard work. She poured her heart into raising her family, and nothing made her happier than being surrounded by them. Patricia especially loved Christmas and found joy in giving to her family, making every holiday and celebration feel special. She loved deeply, forgave quickly, and always reminded her family of the importance of sticking together.
She is survived by her three children: David Ford (Charlotte) of Oklahoma City, April Green (Greg) of Mustang, Oklahoma, and Shawn Garland (Stephanie) of Missoula, Montana. Patricia was a proud grandmother to eleven grandchildren: Brianna Dover (Mathew), Autumn Green (Eric), Gregory “Jr.” Green, Isiah Green, Hailey Ford (Logan), Tori Ford, Syd Ford (Austyn), Jazmynn Lemos (Ben), Naomi Stockwell (Brandon), T’Erin Oxford, and T’iara Oxford. She was also blessed with three great-grandchildren, August Dover, Paisley Tucker, and Evelyn Manokoune, who brought her endless joy and laughter.
She is survived by her siblings: Vickie Ford of Greenbrier, Arkansas; Robin Ford of Pocahontas, Arkansas; Steve Ford of Laurel Hill, North Carolina; and Lisa Vaughn (Neil) of Greenbrier, Arkansas. She also leaves behind six nephews and two nieces.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Tim and Terry Ford; and her sister, Barbara Nipps.
Patricia will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her love for Christmas, and her boundless devotion to her family. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched, and her memory will be cherished forever.
