She is survived by her large, loving family. Two sons, Angel Talamantes and Sheila Ferguson. Grandson’s Kyson and Breckett and step-grandson Weeden Harris, of Blanchard, Ok. Tony Talamantes of Durant, OK. Granddaughters Luciana and Emmalyn of Oklahoma City, Ok. Her Sister Pamela Kerlick and husband Alan. Neice Amber Wahl and husband Daniel. Nephew Tyson Kerlick and wife Nicole. Great Nephews, Nathaniel Wahl and wife Hailey. Logan Wahl and Henry Kerlick. Great Nieces Olivia Kerlick and Gentry Wahl all of Blanchard, OK. Patty grew up in Moore Oklahoma where she graduated from Moore Highschool in 1983. She continued her career path into teaching and graduated college in Lancaster, Ca. With a teaching degree. She taught first and fourth grade for several years at Pinecrest Schools in Lancaster, Ca. Additionally she cared for adults with disabilities and found her greatest purpose in teaching children with special needs, where her patience, compassion, and unwavering belief in every student’s potential made a lasting difference. To her teaching was not just a profession- it was a calling.

In 1995, she met the love of her life while attending a softball game, watching a team where both their nieces played on together. They quickly fell in love and were married on June 8, 1996, in Lake Huges, Ca. They went on to adopt Angel and Tony on February 1, 2003. They moved to Blanchard, ok in December of 2004. Where she continued teaching children with special needs working as a Para up until a few years ago when her health would no longer allow her to do so.

More than anything else, she truly treasured her family. Weather sharing a laugh around the table reminiscing about all the things her and her siblings or her cousins would get into. Offering words of encouragement or simply being present for the ones that she loved, she made every single moment meaningful. Her legacy of love, laughter, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
