Oklahoma City

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Paula Ford, who left this world peacefully on August 15, 2026, at 4:30 PM.

Paula was born to Harreld Monroe & Gertrude Kathryn Dresser on January 15, 1957 in El Reno Oklahoma.

She dedicated her entire life to caring for others. She graduated from El Reno Junior College as a Registered Nurse in 1982, beginning a career centered around compassion, service, and helping those in need. She was the Nursing Director at Belle Vue Health and Rehabilitation in Oklahoma City for 32 years where she retired.

As a nurse, Paula gave so much of herself to others. She devoted countless hours to caring for her patients and helping people through some of their most difficult moments. Her profession demanded a great deal of her time and energy, and she often sacrificed time with her own family because of her commitment to caring for others.

Paula will be remembered for her dedication to nursing, her willingness to give of herself to others, and the love she had for her family. Her life touched many people, both through the work she did as a nurse and through the family she loved.

She was a devoted mother and not only was she a loving grandmother, but she also had a total of 9 great grandchildren as well.

Paula leaves behind her beloved partner of 17 years, Keir Chappell. Her loving family who will forever miss her and cherish her memory, including her son, William Harreld Ford and his wife Michelle of El Reno; her daughter, Mary Elana Ford of Oklahoma City; her grandchildren Brendan and his wife Mykal Ford, Taylor Ford and his wife Angela Spottedwolf, Madison and her husband Chase Hufnagel, Chasitie Holt, and Matthew Ford; and her beloved great-grandchildren Mayella, Nolan, Addalynne, Olivia, Liam, Lawson, Koehn, Brexlynn, and Everlynn.

She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Tom and Mary O'Connor of Tuttle, Oklahoma, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother, and brother Bill McCray of El Reno.

Paula's life was one of service, sacrifice, family, and love.
