Ramona Lee Perkins

Ramona Lee Perkins was born on July 12th, 1963. She arrived at her heavenly home the morning of June 18th, 2024 while surrounded by loved ones.

Ramona was the daughter of Nelson Ervin Perkins & Edna Myrtle Hall – Perkins. She attended school in Alex, OK where she graduated high school in 1981. Ramona worked at Gabriel (Ride Control LLC) in Chickasha for over 20 years. She later continued her education at Canadian Valley Technology Center to obtain her scrub tech certification. She worked at Lindsey Municipal Hospital for 8 years, then moved to Integris Hospital – Yukon before ending her career at Norman Regional Health plex.

After high school, Ramona was married to Kenneth Baker for 18 years. They had two boys, Kyle Nelson Baker, & Blake Ryan Baker.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, attending concerts, traveling, gardening, & shopping on QVC.

 She is survived by her two sons, Kyle Baker & wife Andra of Bridge Creek and Blake Baker & wife Courtney of Ninnekah; grandchildren, Addison, Amelia, Ryan, & Kyler; siblings, Donna Boggs of Moore, Timmy Perkins of Norman, Earl Wayne Perkins & wife Cathy of Newcastle, Byrne Alan Perkins & wife Cheryl of Alabama, Janet King & husband Paul of Oklahoma City as well as a host of nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Edna & Nelson Perkins; brothers, Jerry, Eddie, Marvin, Junior, Jack, & Tommy Perkins and two sisters, Velva Kaye Perkins, and Carolyn King.

Ramona’s Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday June 25th, 2024 at 2pm at Woodland Hills Baptist Church in Newcastle, OK.

Services are under the direction of OK Cremation & Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.
