Richard Alan Lynch transitioned peacefully on October 10, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Born in North Little Rock, AR on September 11, 1959, to Robert E. and Hannah B. Lynch, he was the youngest of seven children. At an early age, he united with Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.

Richard lived a full life; after graduating from Little Rock Central High School in 1976, he was recruited by the baseball team at the university of Arkansas at Fayetteville where he majored in Engineering and was one of their star pitchers. At UARK, he became a life member of the Gamma Eta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and was an active member of the Upsilon Chi Graduate Chapter at Fayetteville.

Richard served in the US Navy for four years before receiving an honorable discharge in 1985; afterwards he relocated to Little Rock, AR.

In 1992 he was employed by NCR in Arkansas. While training at NCR in Dayton, Ohio, Reichard met, fell in love with, and soon married Monica Taylor becoming a proud father figure to Dewayne. In 1996 Richard and Monica became parents to Richard A. Lynch, Jr.

Richard enjoyed being a father to his two sons, Richard Jr. and Dewayne. He said it filled his heart with joy and purpose being able to be a part of their lives. He considered fatherhood a cherished gift, and his sons' love enriched his life significantly.

Richard loved the outdoors and was an accomplished golfer with a two handicap. Whether on-or-off the green, he loved the comradery of his golfing buddies, and he especially enjoyed taunting them when he won - which was often. He was also an advanced-level bowler with an average score of 190. But, of all his sports, his true passion was fishing. He spent countless hours on the lake with his late mother; big brothers, and friends. Richard's fish tales were often bigger than the fish he caught, and they always made for a great storytelling.

Richard was good natured and humorous, and it showed in the bond he shared with his sons. He was a loving and supportive husband and best friend to Monica, his "right arm" and devoted wife of 28 years.

Richard is survived by his loving and caring wife, Monica Lynch, his two loving sons, Richard A. Lynch Jr. and Dewayne Thomas, his loving siblings Charles Lynch, Annie Lynch Williams, Alma Lynch Williams, Hazel L. Lynch, Janice Lynch Davis (Tyrone), Ray E. Lynch (Nancy), and host of nieces and nephews.

His memory will be cherished by all who knew him, including his loving in-laws, host of nieces and nephews, extended family, and loyal and faithful friends.
