Robert Thomas Cole, Wewoka resident, passed away Friday, February 10, 2017 at his residence in Wewoka at the age of 53.
He was born October 21, 1963 in Scranton, Pennsylvania to Albert Theodore and Beverly (Duval) Cole. Rob was a very intelligent man. He received two Master Degrees and was a college professor. He taught at Cal State University Stanislaus and at Merced College in California for several years. One of his greatest achievements was working on Arpanet, the precursor to today’s internet. He enjoyed collecting Hot Wheels, baseball cards and playing the guitar.
Rob married Darlene Chesser on January 13, 2009 in Wewoka and she survives him of the home.
He is also survived by son and daughter-in-law, Doug Cole and Staci Wilson of Moreno Valley, CA; daughter, Jennifer Pyatt of Wewoka; daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Aaron Pennington of Oklahoma City; granddaughters, Miranda Haines and Lachlan Pyatt of Wewoka and Beverly and Bernie Randolph.
He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Theodore Cole and one brother, Christopher Call.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 1:00 PM at House of Prayer Church in Wewoka with Reverend Bill Chesser officiating.
