Rodney Dale Cooksey
December 18, 1958 — June 20, 2017
Rodney Dale Cooksey, lifelong Oklahoma City resident, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at the age of 58.
He was born December 18, 1958 in Oklahoma City to Alvin Leroy and Juanita Lucille (Huckabay) Cooksey.
Rodney worked for the City of Oklahoma City Parks and Grounds Department for many years. He enjoyed working in his yard and loved to relax and sleep.
Rodney is survived by three brothers, Tommy Cooksey and his wife Karen Wood of Del City, David Cooksey of Erick and Gene Cooksey of El Reno; close friend who was like his brother, Tommy Tyson; several nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Tony, Ray and Monty Cooksey; two sisters, Faye Blackburn and Chyrel Kjormoe and an infant brother, Jackie.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Sunny Lane Cemetery with Chaplain Charles Jennings officiating. Pallbearers will be Tommy Tyson, CJ Cooksey and Gene Cooksey.
Services are under the direction of OK Cremation and Funeral Home.
