Ronald Peter Merhib, Sr.

Ron was a dedicated husband to his wife of 56 years, Ursula of the home. He proudly served in Guantanamo Bay and the Panama Canal with the US Navy, after which he learned and mastered the floor covering trade. Ron taught fishing as a volunteer for the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife. He loved fishing, walking his dogs, OU Football and the New York Yankees. He is also survived by his children, Ron Merhib, Jr. (Ora) and Michele Merhib (Suzanne); his grandchildren, Lisa Eubanks (Clint and children Justice, Lincoln and Gracie), Chelsea Oglesby (Heather) and Alex Oglesby (Kaitlin). Ron was a grateful recipient of a kidney that extended his life 11 years and his last wish, to be a donor, was honored. Through his heart valves and tissue donations, he will help over 50 people live on. Private services were held at the family's home.
