Ruby Frances Sherwan

Ruby Frances Sherwan, affectionately known to everyone as "Grandma," passed away peacefully in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on May 16, 2026, at the age of 77.

Ruby’s story began in Duval County, Florida, where she was born on March 30, 1949. Though her journey eventually brought her to Oklahoma, she carried the warmth and strength of her roots with her throughout her life.

Ruby was a beautifully unique soul—fiercely loving and delightfully sassy. She had a quick wit and a big heart, a combination that made every moment with her unforgettable. She wasn't afraid to speak her mind, but everything she did was rooted in a deep, unconditional love for those around her.

Above all else, Ruby’s greatest pride and joy was the family she built. She was a devoted and protective mother to her four children, raising three sons, Howard, Robert, and Michael, and one daughter, Kelly. Her legacy of love multiplied across generations, growing to include 11 cherished grandchildren and 9 precious great-grandchildren. She also leaves her siblings Marshall, Mitchell, Roxann, & Robecca and her beloved dog, Babygirl, who was a constant source of comfort and companionship.

She was the unforgettable anchor of her family, and her vibrant spirit, warmth, and presence will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
