Sandra “Sandy” Kay Spicer was born on June 24, 1958, in Waurika, Oklahoma, to Bob and Kathleen (Lynch) Stradley. She graduated from Ryan High School in 1976 and later worked at El Palacio in Duncan, Oklahoma during the 1980s and 1990s, where she was known for her kind heart and warm smile.
Later, Sandy moved to Oklahoma City to be closer to her parents, whom she lovingly cared for in their later years. Her compassion and dedication as a caregiver reflected the deep love she had for her family.
As her own health began to decline, Sandy was surrounded with the same love and care she had shown others. Her brother Eddy was a constant and devoted presence by her side, offering unwavering support and comfort.
Sandy is survived by her brother, Eddy Stradley of Oklahoma City; brother, Bobby Stradley and his wife Sandra of Duncan, OK; and sister, Kathy Chambers and her husband Richard of Duncan, OK. She also leaves behind niece Amanda (Stradley) Navas and her husband Luis of Edmond, OK; nephew Braden Stradley and his wife Mallory of Piedmont, OK; nephew Justin Chambers, his wife Tracy, and their daughter Rachel of Duncan, OK; her aunt, Joyce Mason of Sand Springs, OK; and many other cherished family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Valir Hospice Care, the staff at St. Anthony’s Hospital, Stanley Nzuonkwelle, Chaplain Pat, and especially Eddy for the exceptional care and love provided to Sandy in her final days.
A memorial to celebrate Sandy’s life will be held at a later date.
