Sara Rene Ruiz Rios was born to proud mother, "Angelina Rios" in Oakland, California on July 15, 1981. She was the second born of two children. Angelina was called to be with the lord when Sara and her brother Ray were very small children. Upon her mother's passing, she was placed in the care of Gloria along with her Grandparents. Sara spent her early years in Oakland, California, where she attended Oakland Elementary Schools, Maxwell, and King of States. Sara attended Oakland High School. Her later years were spent in Oklahoma, the place she called "Home".

In 1997, Sara was thrilled to become a mother to her first-born daughter, Alize. Sara had lots of love and support from her grandparents and Alize's grandmother. She had motherhood down pack and greatly enjoyed it. Sara later had two more daughters; Keshireauna and Natya Rios which added more love and determination to her role as a mother. Sara was an amazing mother that cared for and nurtured  her children in an amazing way, she loved her children unconditionally and she made sure everyone knew that. Sara's greatest gifts were the love of family, friends, and cooking. She had a passion for cooking, and was very good at making amazing meals. Not only did Sara cook for her family, but she loved to feed everyone that came around. Sara was a proud grandmother that loved her grandchildren dearly. When their parents worked, she was there to help with her grandchildren. Keeping a close, loving bond with her daughters and grandchildren was of great importance to Sara.

Everyone knew Sara as "Cali" and she has definitely touched many lives with her big heart, sense of humor, smile, and unforgettable laugh. Sara had a heart of gold, helping others in any way she could, a genuine soul that cared so much!

Sara departed this earth on November 1, 2023 and was proceeded in death by; mother Angelina Rios, both grandparents Raymond and Sara Rios, Fost mother Gloria Reaves, and her sister Melody Frye. Sara leaves to cherish her memories; three Daughters, Alize Tillis, Keshireauna Rios, and Natya Rios. Brother; Ray Rios. Five grandchildren; Za'niya Tillis-Coles, Khy'mire Allen, Kayanii Tillis-Coles, Jay'ceon Tillis-Coles, and Kamila Atchison; Nieces and Nephews; Ray Rios Jr., Imani Rios, Jazzzira Draper, and Xzavier Draper; best friends Keuna Jones of 30 years and Nykeyla Ligons; amazing people in her life; Ericka Whitney and Semore, and DOC (Clyde to her Bonnie).
