Shirley Ann Lewis was born on January 1st, 1948, to Woodrow and Lola Mae Conley in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was the sixth child born out of thirteen.

Shirley accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Hillwood Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend D.B. Burrough. Shirley graduated from Jones High School in 1966 where she played basketball.

In 1967, Shirley married Wayne Morris. To this union was a baby boy born who they named Montey DeWayne Morris. After the death of Wayne, Shirley was blessed with a beautiful baby girl that she named Kimberly Yvette Harris. On February 28th, 1976, Shirley married Alex Lewis. They were blessed with a beautiful daughter named Sharita Nicole Lewis.

Shirley loved working in her yard and shopping at garage sales. However, her greatest love was teaching children. She spent over 30 years working at Spencer Road Daycare and Spencer Road Christian School. Shirley was a faithful member of Hillwood Baptist Church who served in the Children’s Church, was President of the women mission, and served as an usher. Shirley later became a member of Chirstian Life Missionary Church under the leadership of Pastor Arthur Raney. She remained a faithful member until her passing.

She leaves to cherish her memory of her son, Montey Morris (Jennifer); two daughters, Kimberly Harris Guess (Randy) and Sharita Taylor; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; eight sisters; one brother; two sisters-in-law; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
