Shylah Brooke Story, 35, was born in Texarkana, Texas to Billy Raymond and Kelena Robinson-Story on August 18, 1988. She departed this life on March 30th, 2024, in Lone Grove, Oklahoma, after a 6 year battle with cancer.

Shylah grew up in Ardmore, Oklahoma and attended Ardmore Schools and Murray State College. Her greatest accomplishment in life were her three daughters, Masiah, Amiah, & Mikylah. She loved being their mother with every bit of her heart and soul. She was an avid adventurer and loved to hike, kayak, scubadive, and fly. She was always taking her daughters and dogs on road trips from Florida to California making memories. Her dogs, Lily Mae and Roscoe Jenkins went everywhere she went and were by her side on every adventure. She had a passion for riding motorcycles, camping, and boating. She enjoyed crafting and decorating for the holidays. Christmas was her favorite holiday and one tree was never enough. She would have a tree in every room, each with their own theme. Shylah worked as a nurse aide for many years. She loved animals and has owned dogs, cats, a bird, fish, and chickens. Shylah had a smile that would light up the room as soon as she walked in and piercing blue eyes that always saw her cup half full. Shylah was the most positive person, even thru the hardest battles. Her will to live and her courage goes unmatchable. She fought hard all the way to the end. She can rest now.

Shylah is survived by her mother & father, three beautiful daughters, sister Larissa Story-Smith (Beaver Dam, WI), her niece Airean Landreth (Waupun, WI) whom she shared a special bond with, nephews Trenton, Dalton, and Gavin Smith(Beaver Dam, WI) brothers Willie Story Jr. & Joshua Story & wife Daphne (Idabel, Oklahoma); Richard(Aaron) Raymond & wife Safia, & Billy Wayne Raymond (Durant, Oklahoma); Brother-in-law Charlie Smith & wife Tamara (Beaver Dam, WI). She is also survived by 5 nieces, 7 nephews, 3 great nieces & 2 great nephews, her dogs; special friends Lacie, Tristan, & Mike, and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles & friends.

Shylah is proceeded in death by her daddy, Willie Story Sr; her grandparents, step-mother Lenora Raymond; niece Kelena Pearl Story, & her dog Gizmo.
