Teddy Lee Bowden of Shawnee entered the gates of Heaven on April 6, 2020 at the age of 75.
Teddy was born October 29, 1944 in McLoud, OK to Jack and Clo (Burgess) Bowden. He was raised in Shawnee and graduated from Shawnee High School in 1962. Teddy enlisted in the US Army and served as a Sgt. He received an honorable discharge on Aug 15, 1967. Teddy retired from Tinker Air Force Base. He loved to play golf and was an avid OU and Dallas Cowboys fan. On March 16, 1970 he married Dottie Pinson in Midwest City, OK.
Teddy was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Larry Joe Booth in 2009; brothers, TL, Sam, Bill, Jack, Eddie, Frankie, Tommy, Deanie, Jerry, Larry and David and two sisters, Margie and Lucille.
Survivors include his wife Dottie; son, Billy Booth; daughters, Kim Rodgers and husband Greg, Becky Hayes and husband Larry and Jennifer Bowden; one brother, Bud Bowden; grandchildren, Dani, Shelby, Evan, Kolton, Aaron, Joshua, Evan, Anna, Ashlyn, Mason, Cameron and Lauren; great-grandchildren, Emilie, Aurora, Maddex, Arlo and Eddie; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at a later date.
