Theodore James Berry, Sr.

Theodore James Berry Sr. was born January 8, 1943 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Theodore W. Berry Sr. and Alberta (Taylor). He died on Friday, November 4, 2016 at his residence in
Midwest City at the age of 73.
Theodore “Ted” was a member of the Nicoma Park Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He was a devoted witness of Jehovah and was baptized in September 1963. Ted loved to talk about Jehovah and what his Kingdom will do for mankind. In the end of his life, Ted displayed complete trust and confidence in
Jehovah’s promise for the future.
Ted loved to tell stories in a very colorful way. He was a historian in his own right. He loved to share family history while making you laugh at the extent he went by emphasizing every detail, even to the point of imitating various sounds, like the ringing of a phone. Also, he loved to take road trips to visit his son and grandchildren. He was an avid reader, loved sports and was always up to date with current events. But most of all he loved reading God’s Word, the Bible and many Christian publications.
Ted died having full assurance in the resurrection hope as expressed at Job 14:13-15….”You will call and I will answer you. You will long for the work of your hands.” Ted rests in the safest place an individual could be-Jehovah’s memory.
Ted is survived by his two children, Theodore James Berry II and his wife Janie and Rachel Berry-Tracey and her husband Bert; brothers, Theodore W. Berry, Jr, Ronald J. Berry and his wife Priscilla and Charles Williams and his wife Patricia; grandchildren, Theodore James Berry III, Micah Berry and Jonah Berry; nephews, Chris Williams, Robert Williams and Michael Williams; niece, Elizabeth Williams and many other family and friends.
