Thomas G. Luna

Thomas G. Luna, longtime Bowlegs, Oklahoma area resident, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family at the age of 91.

Thomas was born September 3, 1932 in Roundup, Texas to Ascecion R. Luna and Isidora Gutierrez. He married Herlinda Vela in November 29, 1949. They resided in Lubbock, Texas where Thomas worked as a construction worker. They later moved to Grand Prairie, Texas and Thomas worked as a supervisor for Jetco. Thomas and Herlinda moved to Bowlegs, Oklahoma when he retired in 1997. Thomas loved to fish but most of all he enjoyed working on his property and spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving Thomas is his son Joel Luna and wife Nancy; his two daughters, Mary Lou Campoz and husband Gary and Patricia Wilhite and husband B.J.; 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Yvonne Walker and a host of other family and friends.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Herlinda on June 30, 2020; daughter, Vicki Belrose on May 31, 2019; one grandson, Jose Rangel, four sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services for Thomas will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Seminole Holiness Church, 342 N. 8^th Street in Seminole, Oklahoma with Pastor Bill Burns officiating.

Services are under the direction of OK Cremation & Funeral Home, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
