Thrisa "Ralene" VanHorn, age 54, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on October 9th at SSM in Shawnee, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on February 10th, 1971 at Mission Hill to William "Jackie" & Thrisa Marie "Terry" Robertson. Ralene attended Seminole Public Schools and was a proud graduate of the Class of 1989.
Ralene was known for her kindness greeting everyone with a smile and a warm hello, which touched the lives of everyone she met. She spent her life working as a draftsman for the majority of her career. She enjoyed donating her time to the dog fostering program Saving Pets At Risk and working a second job baking for Farmer's Daughter's Market. She loved spending time with her family and soaking up precious memories with her grandchildren. She enjoyed scrapbooking and flexing her artistic skillset any way she could. She was a social butterfly that never put herself 1st. One of the most selfless and kindest souls, considered a second mom to many.
Ralene is survived by her fiancé, Keith Maxwell; her sons and Daughter in Law, Ty and Becky Robertson and Cooper VanHorn; her grandchildren, Blake, Gavin and Emma Robertson; her brother and sister-in-law, Clint and Malisha Robertson, their children, Ken, Lainey and Brandi Robertson; and her grandmother, Mimi Lee. and several friends and cousins who will cherish her memory. She is preceded in death by her parents, William "Jackie" Robertson and Thrisa Marie "Terry" Churchill; her step-father Floyd Churchill; her Grandparents John and Willie Mae Robertson; her grandparents Ray and Marie Lulu Lee; and her aunts, Pam Hopkins and Janet Kay.
A celebration of life for Ralene will held Friday, October 17, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Sharon Baptist Church, 19002 S. Gordon Cooper Dr., Shawnee, OK 74801.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to SPAR "Saving Pets At Risk", which was close to Ralene's heart.
Ralene will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the love and joy she brought to the world.
Services are under the direction of OK Cremation & Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.
