Velty Lee Turner

Velty “Peanut” Lee Turner passed on October 13, 2024, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 59.

Peanut was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on October 25, 1964. He was the son of Jake Alvin Turner and Edna Leoria (Lych) Turner.

Peanut loved his family and friends. He was the light of the party. He liked junking just like his dad did. He loved helping people and if he wasn’t out junking then he was mowing lawns. Peanut also loved riding around and listening to music. There was never a dull moment when you were around Peanut. He never met a stranger he didn’t get along with. Peanut had a big heart and will be deeply missed by everyone that met him.

Peanut is preceded in death by both parents, Jake & Edna Turner, two brothers Edward & Ronnie Turner, and sister Anna Hutchinson.

He leaves behind his wife, Selene Marie (Sullivan) Turner of 32 years along with his children, five daughters, Jennifer, Brenda, Misty, Catherine, & Deanna Turner, and one son Aaron Turner. Peanut also had 17 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, as well as one more great grandchild on the way. He is also survived by his siblings, Frank, Rose Marie, Michael, and Jody. As well as by many other loving family and friends.
