Wanda Jean (Rand) Garvin
October 12, 1924 — June 7, 2015
“Jeanie” transcended into a peaceful space on June 7, 2015. Born to Guy and Grace Rand of Rogers, AR. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Bill and her loving grandson Fletcher Christian Vines. Jeanie is survived by son, Randolph Daniel Garvin and Judy Grace Garvin of Tyler, TX, son, Michael Patrick Garvin of Spring Branch, TX and daughter, Gail Kathleen Vines of Oklahoma City. Jeanie is also survived by grandchildren Kelly, Thomas and John Garvin and Lloyd Francis Vine of Oklahoma City. Jeanie was a devoted military wife for over 25 year traveling the world supporting her husband’s tours of duties and raising their three children with beauty, grace, discipline and love. Jeanie was a member of Mayflower Congregational Church where she was a loving member of the care team, helping people in need of love and honest friendship, she was the quintessential “hostess with the mostess”. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Mayflower Congregational Church or St. Baldricks Foundation. Services will be held on Saturday, June 13 at 11:00 AM at Mayflower Congregational Church, 63rd & Portland Ave, Okla. City with Dr. Robin Meyers officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of OK Cremation and Funeral Home.
