William “Bill” Borden was born on July 13,1944 and went to be with our Heavenly Father July 12,2024.
Bill was born the second of seven children to QD and Eva Mae (Ridgeway) Borden. He always loved to brag about being the largest baby his momma had for he was a whopping 13 pounds. Bill joined the Navy at the age of 17 and did two tours in Vietnam. He was extremely proud of his service and felt it a privilege to serve his country. Bill went on to meet and marry the love of his life or as he would always say “the prettiest thing he ever saw” from this union came two children, Rena Jo and William Ladd. Just hours shy of 56 years of marriage you could still see the love in his eyes for her. From a delivery driver to a construction worker, that brought him to bring his family to Blanchard in 1979 Bills love for horses was rekindled and B&R TRAILS came to life, where his son Ladd still carries on his tradition of breaking and training horses on the same grounds. Of all the titles that Bill held from being a loving husband, a caring dad, the best grandpa, to Ol' pa. He was proud of everyone of them and never missed a chance to tell you.
Bill leaves behind his loving wife of the home Rita, Daughter Rena Jo & Robert Morton of Maysville, son Ladd & Kimberly Borden of Blanchard, grandchildren Austin & Will Morton, Tia, Sara & Ty Borden, Lucas & Joshua McLaughlin, great grandchildren Charlie & Tripp Pershica & Easton McLaughlin, sisters Ida Mae & John Jones, Linda & Greg Lewis, Judy & Herb Roy, Brother-in-law Carl & Joy Miller, and too many adopted grand and great grands to try and list. For everyone that met him loved and adored him no matter their age.
