William D. Hiatt

Funeral services are pending for William D. “Bill” Hiatt, age 76 of Luther, OK, formerly of Norman, OK.

He was born April 29, 1945 in Norman, OK, the son of William C. Hiatt and Fay (Will) Hiatt. William passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at 2:22 am in his home in Luther.

William and his wife Sandra K. (Burkes) Hiatt moved to Luther in May 1995.

He was a Stainless Steel and Sheet Metal Mechanic Journeyman for Local 124, before retiring in April 2007 from Harrison Orr.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra K. Hiatt, one sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Joe Baze of Noble, OK; children, Bill and Keri Hiatt of Noble, OK, Amy Hiatt of Norman, OK, Kanda and Tony Vince of Yukon, OK and Eric Burkes of Luther, OK and 11 grandchildren who will remember that Grandpa always had a big garden. He made them trails on our property for them to ride the four-wheeler, helped them build treehouses, dog houses and bird houses just to name a few. It was never a dull moment when he went hunting with Billy and Eric. Remember the trip to Buffalo, OK?

William was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Ty Lee Hiatt.
