Oklahoma City

Albert Lee Cobb was born February 18, 1945 in Caruthersville, MO to the late Lauvenia and Willie Cobb. He married his first wife, Rosie Marie Cobb Eastland and to this union, two children were born. Rosie preceded Albert in death. In 1970 Albert met Katherine Kirby, the love and best friend of his life, and they were later married in 1979.

Albert was a self-employed auto mechanic and ran his own car and mechanic business throughout the course of his life. He was loved by all that he met and would do anything for anyone. Oh the stories he would tell when he got together with his brothers!

Albert was also preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Lauvenia Cobb; one daughter, Vanessa Harris; his siblings, Pearline Cobb (John), Don Earl Cobb, Will Cobb, Jr., Charles Cobb (Rosie), Willie L. Cobb (Claira), Jessie Cobb, Melvin Cobb (Gladys), John Ed Cobb (Johanna), Jessie “J.C.” Cobb (Pearlie Mae), Robert Clifford Cobb (Esther) and Mary Beatrice Cobb Boothe.

He leaves to mourn his death siblings, Machell Cobb Hawthorne (Dennis), Billy Joe Cobb (Rosie), Tommy Lee Cobb (Shirley) and Roosevelt Cobb (Audra); children, Cathy Marie Kirby Cobb, Renee Rochel Cobb, Elbert Lee Cobb, Jr (Olive), Elbert Doniel Cobb (Monique), Tonya Michelle Cobb (Antonio), Marcredus Green, Nicky Green (Evette), Gordan Logan (Ebony), Shanice Pitts and Severia Green; 32 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who all loved him dearly.

Special thanks to our big sister Cathy Kirby Cobb. She was our father’s rock at his time of need and we love and appreciate you sister!
