Barth Ryan Fleming

Barth Fleming was born October 9, 1955, to Wilbert Fleming and Velda (Butts) Fleming at Shattuck, OK.  He departed this life on July 22, 2021, at Integris Medical Center In Oklahoma City, OK. Barth was preceded in death by his father; his grandfather, Richard H. Butts, his grandfather and gandmother. J. R. “Pop” Reed and Elma Reed, and his aunt, Cora Lea (Reed) Johnson.

He is survived by his mother, his brother, Steven W. Fleming, his sister, Pamela McDaniel, his uncle, Jerry R. Reed and his wife LaDonna; his uncle, John M. Johnson; several cousins, and his special friend, Sherri Rasmussen.

Barth had several talents and enjoyed new challenges.  He was employed as supervisor of the Reproduction Department at HTB, Inc., a supply clerk and a radio operator while in the military, working at Avis Car Rentals, driving trucks in the oil fields, and doing light construction work.

In his free time, Barth loved to shoot pool, play Fantasy Sports, follow his Atlanta Braves games, and keeping up with his friends, both in person and online.  He also enjoyed  traveling, particularly the “cousins trips” he joined with his mother and her  cousins.  He usually was assigned as his mother’s “official photographer” on those trips.

A memorial service will be held for Barth at Henderson Hills Baptist Church in Edmond, OK on Wednesday, July 28, at 2:00 PM.  His friends are encouraged to drop by and share their favorite memories with his family.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests a memorial contribution to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation or the charity of choice.
