Celinda (Serna) Palmer

Celinda (Serna) Palmer was born to Arturo Serna and Dora Trevino Serna on October 6, 1937 in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon Mexico and she passed from this life on September 17, 2021 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

She graduated from Holding Institute in Laredo, Texas and had attended OCCC, OCU, and UCO in Oklahoma.

Along time state employee with the Department of Human Services, Celinda retired in 2000.

She enjoyed traveling, Fold dancing, gathering with friends, and spending time with family.

Celinda is preceded in death by her parents, sister Mireya "Yeya" and husband Jerry "Steve" Rhodes and step-granddaughter Alyssa Sturgeon.

She is survived by her daughter Melissa and husband Bill Sturgeon, brother Arturo and wife Cindy Serna, step-granddaughter Mandy and husband Steve Horton and great grandson Shane, nieces, nephews, and their families and other family and friends. All will greatly miss her.

We want to express a special Thank You to the Administrator and staff of Stroud Health Care Center for their outstanding care and compassion shown Celinda while residing there.

There will be no services at this time. We will have a family gathering at a later date.
