Charles "Charlie" Ray Pierce

Charles Ray Pierce, Little Axe area resident, passed away Friday, May 8, 2020 at his residence at the age of 67.

Charles was born December 15, 1952 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Verlon Leon and Verdie Lee (Fountain) Pierce. He enlisted in the United State Marine Corp and served his country from 1970-1974.

Charles married Mary Etta (Smith) on August 10, 1974 in Grandview, Missouri. He attended OSU-OKC and received as Associate’s Degree in 1985. Charles was a Registered Nurse and worked at Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City for many years. He retired in 2001.

Charles loved the outdoors especially hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife Mary of the home; two daughters, Libby O’Day and husband David of Colorado Springs, CO and Delaney Wilson of Norman; one sister, Janis Rogers of Maud, OK; one brother, Alfred Pierce of Denver City, TX; grandchildren, Jesse O’Day, Christian Gibson, Isabella Valeuzuela, Ryan Wilson, Julianna Wilson and Nathan Wikel and a host of other family and friends.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Liam Gibson.

The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, May 16, 2020 from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM at the family's residence.

Services are under the direction of OK Cremation and Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.
