Dale Trent

Dale Trent of Midwest City, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 22, 2020.  He was born in Norman, OK to Chester Grant and Helen Inez (Holcomb) Trent, on May 7, 1947.

He spent his younger years in Shawnee, OK, until the family moved to Norman in 1960.  As a teenager, Dale had several jobs. The one he spoke about the most was a paper route for the Norman transcript where he received back to back carrier awards.

He enlisted into the US ARMY at age 17, where he served our country for 8 years. He was a master plumber and carpenter, a career he continued throughout his life.

In 1986, Dale found a love in square dancing, and worked hard to become a caller. He was a member of several clubs and enjoyed the fellowship of the members. He continued to call square dancing, until his passing.

He enjoyed woodworking and building anything with his hands. He loved to cook and try new recipes. He enjoyed time with his family and reveled in every chance everyone could be together.

An active member of Grace Church for many years, Dale loved being a part of the greeting committee and the fellowship of the church.

Dale was very proud of his family that included 5 beautiful children, 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

Dale’s friendship, laughter and love will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Survived by his sisters, Helen McGillberry and Melody Faught, Daughters Julie Dawn and Husband Mickey, Dale Ann and husband Duffie, Jamie Renee and Husband Ricky. Son’s Dale Jr. and wife Heather and Gary Gene.  Grandchildren Jennifer, Tyler, Taylor, Makenna, Rebecca, Kolten, Madalynn, Mallorie, Chance, Aydon, Daysha and Zoey. Great Grandchildren Kayden, Kash and Sherman.

Preceded in death by his Mother and Father, Brother Gary, Twin Brother Gayle, Brother Jerry, 5 half-sisters and  1 half-brother.
