Eddie Dean Jones, longtime Oklahoma City resident, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, surrounded by family after a long battle with cancer. He was reunited in Heaven with his father, Rev. James E. Jones, mother, Bonnie Lee Jones, sister, Loneta Fay Brown, brothers Joel Ray Roberts and Edward Lee Jones.

Eddie was born October 22, 1956 in Woodward, OK to Rev. James Emery and Bonnie Lee (Melton) Jones. Eddie worked as a contractor and enjoyed it very much. He loved working with his boss and best friend, Rick.

He was a wonderful father, brother and friend. If you were lucky enough to be in his small circle, you were considered family. Eddie professed his love for God and will tell anyone about it. He also loved everyone and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his children, Richard Simpson and Jaime Hostetler; grandchildren, Osmany Hostetler, Rynzo Pruiett, Zhame Hostetler, Zyandra Hostetler, Carl Hostetler, Iya Hostetler, Modesto Villa, Jr. and wife Christina, Kaylee Lewis, Summer Simpson and Johnathan Furra; great-grandchildren, Joseph Franklin Villa, Brook Jean Villa; sisters, Marietta Jones, Bonnie Diane Jones, Robin Michelle Jones, and brother, Danny Wayne Jones; 17 nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
