Gary Lee Kerbo

Gary Lee Kerbo, Blanchard resident, passed away Tuesday, April 09, 2019 at the VA Medical Center in Oklahoma City at the age of 69.

He was born August 19, 1949 in Hollis, Oklahoma to Bernal Lee Kerbo and Violet Christine (Allen) Kerbo. Gary enlisted in the US Army and served his country during the Vietnam War having attained the rank of Sergeant.  He received an honorable discharge on March 28, 1972.

Gary married Wanda Lee (Keesee) in 1965 in Childress, Texas.

Gary worked in pest control for many years. He enjoyed coaching little league games, gardening and was a great cook having won several ribbons at local fairs. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed making their favorite food dish. Gary was “Poppa” to all his grandchildren’s friends. One of Gary’s greatest joy was his loving pet companion, Demitrie.

Gary is survived by his loving wife of the home, Wanda; daughters, Melissa (Kerbo) Bomesberger and husband Gary and Michelle (Kerbo) Petties; three brothers, Patrick Kerbo, Lynn Kerbo and Tommy Kerbo; three sisters, Donna England, Charlotte Back and Lora Ramsey; grandchildren, Isabella Bomesberger, Marvin Trae Kerbo and spouse Danielle Franklin, Terry Arnold and spouse Cathie Lee, Brianna Kerbo, Jayden Petties, Jillian Petties, Emilee Petties and Ciclee Petties; two great-grandchildren, Maleah Kerbo and Aniyah Arnold and a host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents and one sister.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at 2:00 PM at OK Cremation and Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Richard Williams officiating.

Military honors to be provided by US Army Honor Guard.

Services are under the direction of OK Cremation and Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.
