Lionel Clifford Hart

Lionel Clifford Hart was born into this world on January 11, 1985 with medical issues that lessened his chance of survival, but the Lord had other plans.

Lionel grew bigger and stronger despite his disabilities he flourished and he never let the disability get his spirits down. He attended the special educational programs at Seminole, Bowlegs, Wetumka, New Lima and Wewoka Public Schools. Lionel participated in Special Olympics competing in the 100-yard dash, shot put and other events, ribboning in all events. He was able to attend his senior prom with his little sister and he always talked about that memory. Lionel graduated from Wewoka High School with his classmates, The Class of 2003! As he got older Lionel attended the Adult Day Center in Seminole doing various activities and socializing. Lionel called it his “work.” Lionel was Baptize on November 1, 2011 at Macedonia Baptist Church.

Lionel loved sports! Has a little kid he would play basketball and football always carrying some kind of sports ball. He also attended Wewoka High School basketball and football games, going to watching his little cousins play college basketball and little league football, travelling to OKC to watch Monday Night Raw Wrestling and Thunder Basketball games. He never met a stranger and was always kind, smiling with the biggest heart. Lionel loved to help, always helping set up and break down at family reunions. He enjoyed rearranging his closet, watching tv shows like Golden Girls, Good Times and Sanford and Sons and listening to music like Tupac, NWA, Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie to name a few.

For the past 2 years Lionel was going to Fresenius Kidney (Dialysis) Care in Shawnee. Lionel dealt with lots of medications and needles over his lifetime and finally he said he was ready to retire and be with his momma. Lionel parted from this world peacefully surrounded by his family on July 6, 2019.

Lionel is preceded in death by his mother Clarissa Hart, Fraternal Grandparents Douglas Hart Sr. and Mary Ann Hart. 2 aunts Janice Hubbard and Eloise Glover; 2 uncles Mitchell Samilton Sr. and Douglas Hart Jr. Lionel leaves behind his father Kenneth Hart, sister, brother-in-law and niece Valarie, Joshua and Valiana Herron; brother and niece Jamal and Hadley Hart and brother and niece Stefon and Isabella Hart. Maternal Grandparents Mackilee Sr. and Melven Samilton; 2 aunts Shelia Broner and Tina Samilton and 2 uncles Mackilee (Joe) Samilton Jr. and Steve Samilton and a host of cousins and friends.

My first protector, my first friend, my biggest supporter, my biggest critic, my ride or die until we meet again to ride one more time I love you and I miss you!

A viewing will be held on Friday, July 12, 2019 from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM at OK Cremation and Funeral Home, 2415 N. Walnut Ave., Oklahoma City and on Saturday, July 13 from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM at Macedonia Baptist Church, 118 North Seminole Street in Wewoka.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Macedonia Baptist Church in Wewoka.

A dinner will follow the service at the Wewoka Trading Post.
