Lois Jean Fields

August 9, 1942 — October 19, 2019

Lois Jean Fields was the first child born to S.P. Fields and Opal Byars Thomas in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her father and mother; brothers, Jeffrey Thomas and Freddie J. Thomas; sisters, Patricia Austin and Doris Lynn Fields and two children, Lee Earl Fields and Deborah Ali.

Lois Jean grew up in Pauls Valley and attended Dunbar Schools. She was baptized at the age of 9 in the holiness church where she attended with her family.

At the age of 17, she married Donald Lee Daniels in Plano, Texas. To this union, Rickey Dean Daniels was born. The family then moved to Oklahoma City where Lois Jean was employed at St. Anthony Hospital. She retired after 25 years of faithful service.

Lois Jean later met and married William Lee Grant and to this union a son, Lee Earl and a daughter, Deborah, were born. She later met Roger Warner and they were together for 20 years. Roger’s special name for Lois Jean was “My Be-Be”.

She later moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma and was there until her death at the age of 76. Lois Jean loved to cook, especially for the holidays. She didn’t miss talking to her brother Carl and son Rickey every Sunday. She loved working crossword puzzles while watching her favorite TV shows, Blue Bloods and Law & Order.

Lois Jean leaves to cherish her homecoming her husband, Roger Warner; son, Rickey Dean Daniels (Shirley); sisters, Carolyn Louis Gray, Pauline Turner and Vervina Thomas, all of Oklahoma City; brothers, Carl Thomas of Pauls Valley and Harvey Fields of Kansas City, KS; grandchildren, Kenneth Ray Miles, Rickey Dean Boone, Tiffany Jean Marie Wallen; three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 11:00 AM at OK Cremation and Funeral Home Chapel, 2415 N. Walnut Ave, Oklahoma City.

A viewing will be held on Friday, October 25, 2019 from 12:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Services are under the direction of OK Cremation and Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.
