Mabel Jewel (Going) McGuire

Mabel Jewel McGuire, Oklahoma City resident, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City at the age of 83.

She was born November 5, 1936 in Tom, Oklahoma to Rayson Going and Lucy (Thompson) Going.

Mabel was a big OU fan, liked watching soap operas and loved animals. She would often take in a stray animal into her home and care for it. Mabel was a very loving and caring person. At one time she cared for an elderly lady and her husband. She was also known to take people to the grocery store who needed assistance and shop with them. Mabel got great joy in taking her grandchildren on lunch dates. She really enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.

Survivors include her daughter, Luci Logan and husband Todd; granddaughter, Miranda Waddle; grandson, Jacob Waddle and great-granddaughter Ava Flatley, nieces and nephews and her beloved dogs Sara, Bubba, and Red.

Mabel was proceeded in death by her parents, Lucy and Rayson Going; brothers and sisters, Dolly Della Mae Going, Samantha Louella Neal, Ruby Madeline Stotts, Vernola Pearl Going, Rayson Gibson Going Jr, Josiah Coleman Going, John Andrew Going, Baby Going, Frances Jean Neill, and Virginia Lois Williams.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at OK Cremation & Funeral Home Chapel, Oklahoma City.
