Mary Ridenour, born July 13th, 1937, in Monahans, Texas to Joe & Essie Johnson, she passed away on May 3rd, 2022, in Luther, Oklahoma.

Sibling to Phyllis, William, James, Roy, Seaborn, Jack, Finnis, Rachel, Linda, Carla, Lenora, Carolin & Joe. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1944. Mary had five children: Tammy Clouse, Jimmy Nowlin, Dennis Nowlin, Travis Nowlin and Douglas Barker. She had a love for reading the Bible and going to conventions, especially taking trips to the convention in Casa Grande when she lived in Arizona. She took delight in seeing all the smiling friends and family while spending the days talking about Jehovah. She enjoyed going for day drives, nature walks and picnics. She had a passion for arts and crafts. She loved working in the garden planting multiple flowers along with strawberries and tomatoes. She had a tendency for getting into the sweets with her great grandkids. Mary had previously worked as a nurse’s aide and a bus driver. She was always sticking up for others and did not shy away from standing up for what she believed in, especially her kids.

Mary is survived by her daughter Tammy Clouse, her sons Travis Nowlin and Douglas Barker along with her 10 grandkids and 15 great grandkids as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mary is preceded in death by her sons Jimmy Nowlin and Dennis Nowlin, her parents Joe & Essie Johnson along with her siblings Phyllis, William, Seaborn, Rachel, Lenora, Carolin & Joe.
