Megan Petra Parker

Megan Petra Parker was born on February 28, 1982 in Zaragoza, Spain to Roy and Claudia Parker and left this world January 20, 2021 in Midwest City, OK without the permission of her sisters, whom she consulted about all of her major life’s choices.

Megan was never married, but ever optimistic.  She was the best Tante to her nieces Sabrina and Arianna and spoiled them rotten.  Megan was a kind soul who loved all living creatures. She discovered her love for animals while working at Coffee Creek Riding Stables. She adored her special needs kids and volunteered at Special Olympics as an assistant coach. In April of 2010, Megan found her forever home at Air Depot Animal Hospital as a veterinary assistant to Dr. Cindy Newnam and Brenda Newnam. She frequently came home with stories of fascinating surgeries or gross injuries. She had no fear of the animals and her family teasingly called her the dog whisperer.  She will be forever missed in this world, but never forgotten.

Megan is survived by parents Roy and Claudia, sisters Michelle, Monique, nieces Sabrina and Arianna, and brother-in-law Jeremy (Christina). Close family include her aunt Marijke; cousins Petra (Marcel) and their daughter Sophie; Erik; Daniel (Emily) and children Mason and Makayla; Jennifer and children LuhkaJack and Molly; chosen family Shelba (David) and daughter Kaedance; Michael and Brianna; and an incredible circle of friends too numerous to list.
