July 9, 1959 — June 1, 2020

Oklahoma City

On 6/1/2020, Raymond Leon Curry, Jr. (60) of Oklahoma City, took the checkered flag on the final lap of this race called life. Ray, also known as "Jr." by those who loved him most passed suddenly and unexpectedly with his wife Karen Curry, sister Ramona Wiley, son Jamey Curry, daughter Whittnee Crumbley and granddaughter Brittany Curry by his bedside at Integris Southwest Medical center in Oklahoma City. Ray was born and raised in Oklahoma City as 1 of 11 siblings to Raymond Leon Curry Sr and Georgia Faye Parker. Raymond spent most of his life as a wire rope rigger in the oilfield, before medically retiring. Ray is joined in death by his mother, Georgia Faye Curry, father, Raymond Leon Curry Sr., son, Thomas Blaine Curry, as well as 6 other siblings. He is survived by his wife Karen Curry, son Jamey Curry, daughter Whittnee Crumbley, son Michael Wilson, daughter in laws April  Curry and Misti Wilson, grandkids Kaleb Linnell, Brittany Curry, Abigail Curry,Emily Cutler, Destinee Wilson, Michael Wilson Jr, Adam Wilson and Lilie Wilson , great grandsons Aidan and Ashton Curry, sisters Ramona And Georgia, and brothers Buzzy and Tommy. Ray was an avid NASCAR fan and die hard Dale Earnhardt and Dale Jr fan. He loved spending time with family and friends, hosting cookouts and mowing his lawn. Ray lived his life full of love and would give the shirt off his back for anyone in need, even if it meant he went without. He was a God fearing man, that loved to make others laugh and smile. Ray will be greatly missed by all who loved him, but his memory will live on through all of us. Before his passing, Ray told his sister that he had fought harder battles than this and he was right, he won this battle and is enjoying the spoils of his victory with those who passed before him.
