Robert "Robbie" Edward Jackson

September 26, 1965 — October 30, 2021

Moore

Robert Edward Jackson was the 6th child born to Lawrence Eugene Jackson Sr. and Ruth Helen (Nero) Jackson on September 26th, 1965 in Oklahoma City, OK. He is the great-great-grandson to Henderson Williams.

Best known as “Robbie” to those who knew him, he attended Garden Oaks Elementary School in Oklahoma City. He received his middle school education at Harding Middle School and graduated from Northeast High School in Oklahoma City in 1983. Robbie married Karolyn Marie (Snyder) and from this union two children were born - David Jarrel and Helen Frances.

Robbie worked in retail management for most of his career, primarily with Ace Hardware Store and Westlake Hardware Store where he worked for over 20 years. Robbie continued his work in retail management until he became disabled in 2017.

Robbie enjoyed fishing, playing card games and dominoes with his friends and family and sports. He was a sports fanatic and loved to watch OU football in particular. The day Robbie passed, he spent the day with his daughter and son-in-law Byron, watching the OU Game, grunting, and commentating on plays he didn’t like. Just like the old days. His greatest joy was to be around his children and his granddaughter, Ryleigh Janelle, laughing and creating memories together.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, sister, Ruth Helen Jackson of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Christopher Jackson and his wife Ronda and Artie Jackson, all of Oklahoma City; two children, David Jarrel Snyder and Helen Frances Jackson-Collins and husband Byron Collins; granddaughter Ryleigh Janelle Corral, partner Colleen, whom he spent over 10 years with, a host of nieces and nephews and a three year old Great Dane he affectionately referred to as his “Grand-Pup”.

He is preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Eugene Jackson Sr.; two sisters, Yolanda Gayle Jackson and Sherrian Kaye Jackson-Parker; two brothers, Lawrence “Larry” Eugene Jackson Jr. and Phillip Karl Jackson.
