Ronnie Gene Johnson

Ronnie Gene Johnson, Newalla resident and former Holdenville resident, passed away Friday, August 13, 2021 at St. Anthony’s Hospital Midwest City at the age of 70.

Ronnie was born November 12, 1950 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to W.E. and Minnie (Branam) Johnson. After graduating high school, Ronnie enlisted in the United States Navy. He served in Vietnam and received an honorable discharge on February 10, 1970. Ronnie later went to work at Tinker Air Force Base and retired in 2007 with 29 years of service.

Earlier in life Ronnie enjoyed fishing and raising cattle. He later along with his wife Marina, began breeding and raising hairless cats.

Survivors include his wife Marina of the home; nephews, Rudy Johnson, Randy Johnson and Maurice Johnson and a host of other family and friends.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, W.E. and Minnie Johnson; five brothers, Clifford, Afton, JD, Lester and Kenneth and one sister, Joyce.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at 11:00 AM at OK Cremation & Funeral Home Chapel in Oklahoma City with military honors. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at 2:30 PM at Hanna Cemetery in Hanna, OK.

Services are under the direction of OK Cremation & Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.
