Steven “Steve” Charles Wiley, 65, peacefully passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2020 in Edmond, OK. Born in Oklahoma City, OK, he was the son of Homer Daniel Wiley and Marjorie Alene Elliot (Ballard). He graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor’s degree of Science in Education and later obtained his Master’s degree in Education at the University of Oklahoma. He was formerly employed at Noble public schools as a teacher and coach. He enjoyed playing and singing music with karaoke being one of his favorite past times. He loved watching all sports especially college football and basketball being both an OU and OSU fan. Most of all he took great pleasure in spending time with his family, his loving & compassionate long-time significant other, Jamie Hausher, and grand-dog, Baz. He will be remembered for his quick wit & amusing stories, love of science/ astrology, history, geography/ minerals & stones, and living life to the fullest. He was a one-of-a-kind brother and father who journeyed the road less traveled.

He is survived by his 2 daughters Leslie Hunter and her husband, Brian Hunter of Edmond, OK and Brooke Darrow of Edmond, OK; 2 grandchildren, Tatum Darrow and Wyatt Hunter; 3 brothers Homer Daniel Wiley II of Oklahoma City, OK, Ronald Coy Wiley of Pavo, Georgia, and Robert Gene Wiley of Columbia Tennessee; 1 sister Jannelle Couturier of The Villages, Florida; several nieces and nephews; and numerous relatives and friends who knew him well and loved him dearly. He was predeceased by his sister Glenda Beth Wiley and nephew Robert Scott Wiley.

Steve would like to thank Good Shepherd Hospice, most notably Connie and April, for their kindness and dedication to his needs during his final moments.

The funeral service will be held this summer in Columbia, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers please donate to the American Cancer Society.
