Virgil Joe Cottman

November 22, 1945 — August 25, 2019

Virgil Joe Cottman (1945-2019) passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2019 after a long illness.

Virgil loved to work on electrical and mechanical machinery. He owned his own business in the oil field industry repairing generators. In his later years he worked as a licensed armed security guard at banks, City Hall, and BC Clarks where he enjoyed meeting and helping people.

He appreciated antique cars and motorcycles of ALL kinds. If he was not admiring vehicles he was building them. Many mini bikes, motorcycles, and dune buggies were built for family and friends. Virgil loved his family and friends and could listen to old time country music for hours.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Lorean Cottman; sisters, Dorothy Zoltowski and spouse Marvin and Barbara Johnson and spouse Allen and by his son, Virgil “Jay” Cottman.

Virgil leaves behind his wife Shirley of 54 years; children, Chrishilla Eyman and spouse John and James Cottman and spouse Heather; grandchildren, Debrah, Jay Eugene, Andrew, Alex, Desiree, Mathew, Hailey, and Amy; great-grandchildren, Kenny “Woody”, Reagan Zoey, Wade Eugene, Paisley Joy, Taygen, Elizabeth, and David and a host of other wonderful family, and friends.
