Virginia Lee (Kellogg) Hill

February 20, 1963 — April 25, 2021

Edmond

Virginia (Ginney) Lee Kellogg-Hill gained her heavenly wings on Sunday, April 25, 2021.

Ginney, daughter of Gary and Eva (Finnie) Kellogg was born on February 20, 1963 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She grew up in Midwest City, Oklahoma where she attended school. She married Russell Barr on April 6,1983 in Midwest City. They resided in Oklahoma and North Carolina. Ginney later married Stan Hill December 24, 2014 in Edmond, Oklahoma. Which is where they currently resided.

Ginney was always a hard worker. She worked various jobs in the restaurant industry, drove a truck for 4.5 years with Covenant Transport until an injury forced her to take a job at a local college in Shawnee, Oklahoma where she also was injured. She struggled many years with neck, shoulder and back pain due to her work related injuries. This, however, did not stop her from pursuing her dream.

Ginney and Stan acquired a place a few years ago where she was able to realize a life-long dream of owning her own horse(s). She had 3 horses, a mini-horse, pet pig and 2 dogs. Anyone who knows her knows how much she loved animals. She was always trying to take in strays as a child; mom tried to humor her but many times had to say “no”.

Ginney is preceded in death by her father Gary Lee Kellogg. She is survived by her husband Stan Hill, mother Eva Mae (Finnie) Kellogg, sister Candy (Timothy) Godfrey, brothers Joseph (Kathy) and William Bell, her sons Andrew (Jessica West) and Nathan (Angela Garner) Barr, grandsons Andrew and Konnar Barr, numerous nieces and nephews, numerous other family members and countless friends.

A memorial celebration will be Saturday, May 1, 2021 12:00pm at OK Cremation & Funeral Home in Oklahoma City. Ginney’s wishes were to be cremated; her ashes will be put to rest at Brown Cemetery in Pink, Oklahoma.
